Dodon proposed holding early elections of deputies in autumn or spring

Holding early elections of deputies to the Moldovan parliament may be one of the options for resolving the political crisis in the country, which arose after the disappearance of the majority in parliament. This was announced on June 19 by Moldovan President Igor Dodon in a video message posted on a page on the Facebook social network. One of the options for the development of events is the holding of early parliamentary elections, if the Constitutional Court allows them to be held on the same day as the presidential election, it will be, he said and added that otherwise the country's parliament will be dissolved immediately after the presidential election in the country, and early elections of its deputies will then be held in February-March next year. In addition, Dodon noted that he considers other options for overcoming the crisis possible, for example, the work of the government of Prime Minister Ion Kiki without parliamentary support before the election of the President of Moldova, scheduled for November 1. In addition, the President of Moldova also considers it possible to create a new parliamentary majority with the participation, in addition to the Social Party and Democrats, the Action and Solidarity Party, as well as the Platform for Dignity and Truth Party. I do not invite anyone officially, but next week I am open to meeting with the leaders of these four parties without any difference, with or without the press, the Moldovan leader said. Note, as reported by the news agency, on June 17, the deputy of the Moldovan parliament Efrosinia Gretsu left the parliamentary faction of the Democratic Party of Moldova and joined the Pro Moldova group, as a result of which the coalition of socialists and democrats in the country's parliament was left without a ruling majority.
