South Korea to send 50,000 tons of rice to Yemen, Ethiopia, Uganda and Kenya

South Korea will provide food assistance to people in the Middle East and Africa. This is reported by KBS with reference to representatives of the Ministry of Food, Agriculture and Forestry of the country. According to them, the Government of South Korea intends to send 19,000 tons of rice to Yemen, 16,000 tons of rice to Ethiopia, 10,000 tons of rice to Kenya and 5,000 tons to Uganda. Food aid to four countries is known to be provided through the World Food Programme (WFP). The Ministry noted that as of April this year, rice reserves in the country are estimated at 1.75 million tons.
