Senator Pushkov commented on NATO squadron manoeuvres in Barents Sea

Member of the Federation Council Committee on Constitutional Legislation and State Construction Alexey Pushkov (Perm Krai) commented on the manoeuvres of the NATO combat squadron in the Barents Sea. He posted a message on his Twitter microblog page today, May 7. Recall that a squadron of NATO ships, consisting of three American destroyers Donald Cook, Porter, Franklin Roosevelt, as well as the British frigate Kent, entered the Barents Sea. According to the U.S. Navy's Sixth Fleet, the squadron entered the Barents Sea for security operations. Senator Pushkov noted that Norway refused to participate in these manoeuvres, considering them unnecessary and dangerous. As for the NATO military bloc, Pushkov believes that these manoeuvres in the Barents Sea once again show that the North Atlantic Alliance is meaningless. For a couple of months, NATO has been tired of insanity and here at last! U.S. and British military vessels entered the Barents Sea, closer to Russia's borders. Norway refused to participate in the exercise, finding them unnecessary and dangerous. In the face of the pandemic, NATO only once again emphasizes its senseless nature, Pushkov writes.
